School Garden News
School Garden Grant recipients for 2013 have been determined. Please see the School Garden Grant page for the complete list of schools receiving grants this year, as well as the lists for 2011 and 2012.
School garden grants are funded by donations to Slow Food Solano. In addition to monetary donations, Slow Food Solano encourages community businesses and individuals to offer expertise, time and materials to support local school garden projects. You can help our budding gardeners and the dedicated teachers who go beyond their classroom duties to encourage healthy hobbies and habits that will last a lifetime.
Many thanks to NorthBay HealthCare and their support of the School Garden grant program through the Savoring Solano's Bounty event. See the write up on our Events page for more information!
If you or your business can offer expertise or materials to get these gardens growing, we'll be happy to list you as a resource.
