SLOW FOOD SOLANO VOLUNTEER DUTIES

Welcome table: greet and collect donations
10:30 to 3 pm. 5 to 6 volunteers needed at peak hours (11 to 2)
Greet visitors, direct to donation table, put on wrist bands and hand out information.
Slow Food Solano Booth 11 to 3:30 pm
Two volunteers needs; Talk to visitors about Slow Food and school garden grant program, sell raffle tickets. Information for you will be provided about Slow Food and the garden program etc.
Chef Demonstrations: 2 to 3 volunteers
Help chef in any way. Fill and distribute samples and recipes. Clean up after each demonstration.
Three demonstrations beginning at 11:30. Each about an hour, volunteer needs to plan on 90 minutes for each demo.
Tomato cutters: As many as possible
8 am to 3 pm. Cut tomatoes and fill sample cups. Choose any amount of time you would like to volunteer.
Tomato runners: 5 to 8
Be the runner between cutting tent and sample area, refilling samples and keeping the tasting area in clean order
Parking Lot: 1 to 2 volunteers,
Be the greeter to visitors parking at Soul Food Farm and waiting for the shuttle. We will have info sheets to hand out to get visitors oriented to what they will do upon arriving at Morningsun. Your job is welcome folks, tell they about the $5 donation and what it does, and answer any questions while they wait for the shuttle. If it is a really hot day, we might have water and some snacks to offer people.
Volunteers are needed there from about 10:45 to 2 pm.
If you want to spend the day and do a couple jobs, we can switch people around. Whatever time you can spend will be greatly appreciated.
