Benicia: Food Forest Installation Workshop
January 25, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden in Benicia, creating an opportunity to learn about rainwater capture, simple greywater systems that reuse household water and how to plant and mulch for a waterwise garden that builds healthy soil and yields food.
Workshops will go from 9:30 am to 4 pm, though work may finish early. A light lunch of vegetarian soup and salad is provided by the homeowner. Participants can also bring a side dish to share. Please bring your own bowl and spoon, hats, gloves, reusable water bottle and sunblock.
Below are details on each workshop day. Those who register will be sent the exact Benicia address a few weeks before the workshop.
- DAY 1: Saturday, Jan. 25 – Earthworks and tree planting
